At the heart of the Village of Metchosin stands the old Elementary School, home to the Metchosin Arts & Cultural Centre, the West Shore Arts Council, and working studios of local artists – printmaker, painters, sculptor, pet photography and lampwork beads jeweler. All artists’ work can be seen by appointment.

The West Shore Arts Council is an an advocate for the arts. The office is open Monday from 1 to 4 pm. Please call 250-478-2286 for appointments.
Watch for a new Metchosin Art Gallery (the MAG) to open in the fall of 2011.
The Arts and Cultural Centre is operated by the Metchosin Arts and Cultural Center Association which was founded in December 2007.
